IBC 2024

The 2024 IBC was hosted in Stellembosch at the Protea Hotel by Marriot, Technopark.

IBC 2023

The 2023 IBC was hosted in Swakopmund, Namibia between 24-27 September, at the Swakopmund Hotel and Entertainment Centre. 

IBC 2022

The 2022 IBC conference was hosted at the beautiful Lord Charles Hotel in Somerset West, Western Cape, from 25 to 28 September 2022.

IBC 2021

The 2021 IBC conference was hosted virtually from 20 to 21 September 2021.

IBC 2019

The 2019 IBC conference was at the beautiful Africa Pride Arabella Hotel & Spa from 22 to 25 September 2019, situated in the heart of the Kogelberg Biosphere, close to Hermanus’ world-famous whale watching destinations.

IBC 2018

The 2018 IBC conference was hosted at the Le Meridien Hotel on the beautiful island of Mauritius from 23 to 26 September 2018.

IBC 2017

The 2017 (11th) IBC Conference was hosted at the White Sands Hotel in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, from 24 to 27 September 2017.

IBC 2016

The 2016 (10th) IBC Conference was hosted at Club Mykonos in Langebaan, Western Cape from the 25 to the 28 September 2016. This has been the largest IBC conference to date with 130 papers being presented over the two days. Feedback was overwhelmingly positive in terms of the choice of the venue, quality of papers presented and the overall organising and administration.
